Wrestling to Beat the Streets DC (WBTS DC) is a nonprofit youth organization based in our nation’s capital dedicated to serving youth in underserved communities. WBTS DC was founded in 2013.
WBTS DC had a strong 2016-2017 season with eleven engaged wrestlers, including a pair of recently arrived immigrants.  All of the wrestlers developed quickly over the course of the short season.
WBTS DC left the Montgomery Youth Wrestling League Tournament with two champions, a runner-up and a third-place finisher.  The following weekend, WBTS DC claimed one title and earned two other placers at the Mid-Maryland Youth Wrestling Tournament.
The major highlight of the season was a tri-meet between Chavez BTS, Latin BTS, and Ron Brown.  The meet provided tough competition for all wrestlers involved and demonstrated the level of wrestling that all wrestlers should aspire to achieve.
